How to overcome depression?

Depression, A mental health disorder caused by constant feeling of sadness and loss of interest in doing daily activities. It is different from usual mood fluctuations as that are short lived emotional responses in everyday life.
Do you get easily disturbed by daily happenings in your life? Have you felt depressed and couldn't find anyway to come out of it? Have you helped out any of your kith and kin from coming out of it? Have you loved to be in that state? Wondering who would love to be in depressed state? Yes, there are people who would often be into depressed mood and sooner or later you get used to it and started to adopt that kind of state. Sarcastic right! There is no age or gender restrictions to depression. It even fall to people who are even strong. According to study, women are more affected by depression than men.
Symptoms of depression would be anxiety, irritability, restlessness and extreme anger. It may even cause insomnia,weight gain or loss, fatigue, aches, difficult in concentration or making decision.
When you are under that state your thoughts have no restrictions, it starts to control you and your whole self. Never let that to happen. Try controlling your thoughts. It may be hard for you to concentrate on things you do but it will distract you from your haunting thoughts. So, try working on things you would love to do and keep yourself engaged in some sort of work. Trust me it keeps you away from the thoughts that distress you. It is not a permanent thing and do not over stress yourself. This too shall pass.
When you wholly want to be away from the thought that haunts you for days, you must not think about it but the 'thought of not to think arises the thought of depression'. So, instead of thinking to stay away from it, concentrate on things that gives you peacefulness. Spend time with nature, it will respond you. Nature is always your best friend unless you harm it. Spend time with friends, family, kids, grandparents. Share your inner feelings and thoughts to a person whom you trust the most. There would be certain people in your life who are really concerned about you. If you don't want to share your issues with your friends write down your emotions and thoughts, expel out everything that bothers you. Let out all your worries into actions and that action must not harm anyone.
Explore the world. Do things you are passionate about and develop that. Learn new skills, go to places, get to know more about yourself.
The more you experience things in life the greater you will become.
Nowadays, people have started to give importance for physical health. What do you think about mental health? Is it important to maintain good mental health? Yes, my dear readers taking care of your mental health is equally important to the concern on physical health. The most effective way of getting out of the traumatic condition is to express all you rages and dullness into actions. Thinking what kind of actions would help you ? Physical exercise would help out alot. I prefer writing my thoughts out or speak with people. Do things you love like music, dance, singing, reading and helping people around. Spending time with your pets would eventually reduce stress.
If you can't really come out of depression even after trying out your most possible things, do approach a psychiatrist and have a counselling session with them.
Your mind and your body belongs to you and it is your responsibility to take care of it. Do not bottle up your worries, let them spill and find its shape to get a solution.
I pray that sooner the pandemic would end and we all will be back to our normal life. Let us all stay safe & stay healthy not only for us but also for the ones who love us!
